Based on the wildly popular YouTube channel, The Haunting of Sunshine Girl has been described as “ Gilmore Girls meets Paranormal Activity for the new media age.” YA fans new and old will learn the secrets behind Sunshine—the adorkable girl living in a haunted house—a story that is much bigger, and runs much deeper, than even the most devoted viewer can imagine…
The haunting of Sunshine Girl it's written around a series of youtube videos.
Sunshine is a clever girl, she and her mother Kat are moving from Texas to a much colder state. Sunshine's mother got a new job. The new house is different, Sunshine starts noticing some stuff. She thinks the house is haunted, but her mother doesn't believe her.
But a new friend, Nolan, will help her. In fact, Nolan is a really important character. After some research they found out what was really happening in that house.
Creepy is the word. There are a few noises that only Sunshine seems to hear. And another "creepy" things. I recommend this book for teens and young adult readers. A supernatural story with realistic characters, that you can feel relatable to. Characters with developing, a catchy plot and Sunshine and Nolan make a great team.
So I enjoyed the plot and characters. The beggining of the book was a little bit slow. I appreciated the descriptions but it felt overloaded after a while. The story is intriguing.
And I really like the cover, is so delicate and mysterious. I think it is an awesome project, I mean, videos and a book. So cool.
